Your privacy, in plain language

This Privacy Policy explains what Macromello collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've tried to write it the way we'd want it written for us — clearly, and without hiding anything in the fine print.

The short version: we collect what we need to run the service and improve your analysis, we don't sell your data, and we protect it carefully.

Information we collect

We collect a few kinds of information:

  • Account information — your email address and the details you provide when you sign up or update your profile.
  • Subscription and billing data — your plan, subscription status, and billing records. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
  • Usage data — the reports you request, the analysis we generate for you, and records of how you use the service.
  • Technical data — information your device and browser send automatically, such as approximate location, device type, and log data, used for security and reliability.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide Macromello and generate the analysis you request
  • Manage your account, subscription, and payments
  • Keep the service secure and prevent abuse
  • Respond to your questions and provide support
  • Understand how the service is used so we can improve it
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party providers

To run Macromello, we rely on trusted providers — for example, payment processing, email delivery, and the AI models that produce your analysis. We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and we expect them to protect your data. We never expose secrets or access tokens in anything we send to your browser.

How long we keep your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Some records are removed automatically once they are no longer needed, and inactive free accounts are eventually deleted. When data is no longer required, we delete it or anonymize it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, just contact us and we'll help.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive fields and strict access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your data seriously and continually work to improve.

Children

Macromello is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone who is not old enough to use the service.

Changes to this policy

As Macromello grows, this policy may change. When we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. The most current version will always be available on the website.
